A LITTLE ABOUT US

We were you.

We both worked full time while we were in grad school, sat for the exam more than once, and felt so alone in our pursuits of board certification.

Marla was lucky to have some university guidance while Heather collected her hours independently in her alternative education classroom. They both collected their hours, met regularly with their supervisors, hoped and prayed they were ready, and sat for that blasted test only to have to try again - all with pressure from our employers and ourselves to achieve the prized “BCBA” certification. It was so stressful - we felt angry, defeated, ghosted, overwhelmed, and wondered if we should just give up.

We don’t want you to feel like we did!

We want you to be supported through your supervision experience and feel confident walking into your exam knowing that you are prepared to pass and have the skills to be a competent first year BCBA wherever that leads you.

So we decided to offer “Supervision with TLC!”

Life is stressful enough - supervision shouldn’t be!

Here’s how we support our supervisees:

personalized check-in with your coordinating supervisor every month
skill-based repertoires to track your learning progress over time
audit-proof spreadsheet to track your fieldwork hours and supervision
all experience verification forms in one online portal for at least seven years
access to our flexible online supervision scheduling platform
opportunity to change supervisors and accrual targets every month

As a bonus, all of our supervisees get access to:

Content Study Materials

The Consultancy has created a ton of study materials for aspiring behavior technicians and behavior analysts. If you’re ever feeling like you’d like some extra support or clarification on any concepts in your coursework or your studying, just ask your supervisor and they’ll connect you with what you’re looking for.

The TLC Network

Included in every month of supervision is access to The TLC Network, an authorized continuing education provider by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. You will have access to somewhere between two and four hours of independent hours every month and earn a certificate of completion for each.

Consulting Supervision

In your first year as a BCBA who is supervising trainee fieldwork, you are required to have a consulting supervisor. Since most school-based BCBAs are in a role responsible for overseeing the intervention implementation of staff who are not BCaBAs, RBTs, or trainees - we offer this as a way to have a mentor in your first year. Either way, you’ll have 50% off every month for your first year as a practicing BCBA!

8 Hour Supervision Course

After you’ve passed the exam and are officially a BCBA - woohoo! - let us know and we’ll give you a 50% discount code to complete your 8-hour school-based supervision training online with us. This course will prepare you to effectively supervise others and is a requirement to provide supervision in the future.

Conference Invitations

TLC tries to attend or present at one professional conference every month. As a supervisee, you will be invited to join them as a presenter, attendee, vendor - wherever you’re a fit! Conferences are planned months in advance, but you’re always welcome! Be sure to tell your supervisor what you’re interested in exploring.

If you accrue your last 500 hours with us, you’ll get:

We offer a 30-day fit guarantee!

With zero service agreements, work-for-training agreements, exclusivity agreements, training bonds, placement fees, … we only want to work with students who like working with us.

If you decide we are not a fit for you after your first month with us, you are free to go explore! We’ll process your experience verification form after you submit payment for your supervision hours and we’ll move you to our waitlist if you want to reengage in the future.
